Hail Cracked Your Stucco. Colorado Winters Will Do the Rest.
Action Painting & Remodeling handles hail damage repair throughout Briargate and north Colorado Springs. If your home is near Chapel Hills Mall, off Briargate Parkway, or anywhere in the D20 School District corridor — we serve your neighborhood. We've been doing this work in Briargate since 1994 and we come to you.
Briargate gets hit hard every spring. The northeast side of Colorado Springs sits directly in the path of storms that build across the plains and have nothing to slow them down before they arrive. One hailstorm can dent your siding, crack your stucco, split your fascia boards, and compromise every caulk line facing east — and most of it won't be obvious until water starts getting in behind the walls. The real danger isn't the damage you can see. It's what happens when a contractor paints over it instead of fixing it. Covered damage traps moisture, rots wood framing, and turns a $500 repair into a $5,000 problem by the time the next winter is done. We assess the full scope before anything gets quoted — not just what's visible from the driveway.
We work in Briargate regularly — the subdivisions along Kettle Creek Drive, the homes backing up to the trails near John Venezia Community Park, the newer builds between Briargate Parkway and the Northgate and Flying Horse communities to the north. Homes in this part of Colorado Springs tend to be two-story with east and north-facing elevations that take the worst of the hail exposure. We know the HOA communities up here — Flying Horse, Northgate, the neighborhoods along Voyager Parkway — and we know what their exterior standards require for repair documentation. After 30 years of working in this part of the city, we know which subdivisions get hit first, which building materials are most common, and what the freeze-thaw cycle does to repairs that weren't done right the first time.
Action Painting & Remodeling has been assessing and repairing hail damage in Briargate and north Colorado Springs since 1994. We repair siding, stucco, fascia, soffits, wood trim, deck boards, and caulk lines — every surface that takes damage in a Colorado hail event, assessed at the source before anything gets painted or sealed over.
Briargate sits on the northeast side of Colorado Springs with nothing blocking the path of storms that build across the eastern plains. The subdivisions along Kettle Creek Drive, the homes near John Venezia Community Park, the newer builds between Briargate Parkway and the Air Force Academy boundary — all of it sits in direct exposure. After a storm comes through, the damage on the east and north-facing elevations is usually obvious. What isn't obvious is what's happening underneath surfaces that look fine from the driveway.
We've been working in Briargate long enough to know which subdivisions use which materials, which HOA communities — Flying Horse, Northgate, the neighborhoods along Voyager Parkway — have specific repair documentation requirements, and what Colorado's freeze-thaw cycle does to damage that gets covered instead of fixed. The full scope of what we handle across Colorado Springs is part of our remodeling and repair work throughout El Paso County.
Paint over compromised siding or cracked stucco and you've sealed moisture in behind the wall. Colorado winters freeze that moisture, expand it, and widen the damage with every cycle. By the time it shows up on the inside of the house you're looking at rot, mold, or structural damage that costs far more than the original repair. We fix the damage first. Then we paint.
Vinyl and aluminum siding on Briargate homes dents on impact — sometimes visibly, sometimes in ways that only show up as bubbling paint later. East and north-facing walls take the worst of it. We assess every panel, replace what's compromised, and match the existing material and color before repainting.
Stucco cracks from hail impact are small at first. Colorado's freeze-thaw cycle makes them bigger every winter. Water works in behind the stucco, sits against the sheathing, and by summer you've got rot behind a wall that looks fine from the street. We repair the crack, check what's behind it, and apply elastomeric coating rated for Colorado conditions.
Wood fascia and soffits on older Briargate homes split and crack under hail impact. Once moisture gets into split fascia it doesn't come back out — it sits there through winter and rot follows. We replace damaged sections, prime, and paint to match the existing exterior.
Wood trim around windows and doors is one of the first places moisture gets in after hail damage. Caulk lines that crack or get painted over without being replaced allow water into the wall cavity. We replace failed caulk, repair or replace damaged trim, and seal everything correctly before any paint goes on.
Deck boards on Briargate homes take direct hail impact — especially on second-story decks with no overhead cover. Dented and cracked deck boards let water in at the surface, which leads to rot from below. We assess every board, replace what's damaged, and refinish the full deck so it holds through the next Colorado winter.
Failed caulk is the most common hidden damage after a hail event — and the most commonly missed. Caulk around windows, doors, siding joints, and trim gets cracked by impact and painted over on fast jobs instead of replaced. We pull failed caulk, clean the joint, and apply new caulk rated for Colorado's temperature range before anything gets painted.
Every exterior surface — siding, stucco, fascia, soffits, trim, deck boards, and caulk lines. East and north elevations first.
We tap stucco for hollow spots, press trim for soft spots, and check caulk lines that may have been painted over without being replaced.
Every damaged surface documented. We provide what your adjuster needs and can be present during the walkthrough.
Itemized estimate covering every surface — no single-number quotes. Scope, materials, and timeline in writing before work begins.
We repair what's damaged before any paint goes on. Dented siding, cracked stucco, split fascia, and failed caulk — fixed at the source.

When I returned from military service, I knew I wanted to build a business the right way—built on discipline, accountability, and doing the job right the first time.
That standard has guided Action Painting & Remodeling since 1994.
When we take on a project, we put our name and reputation behind it. No shortcuts. No surprises. If something isn’t right, we make it right—every time.
What I’m most proud of isn’t the years in business, but the trust our customers place in us. Referrals from clients to their friends and family mean everything, and we work hard to earn that trust on every job.
Colorado Springs is our home. Every project we complete is in our own community, and we treat it that way.
If you choose to work with us, I will personally make sure the work meets your expectations—fully, not partially.
Thank you for trusting us.
